I went fishing on Sunday, Thursday, and Saturday last week.
On Sunday, I went fishing with my friend, but unfortunately it rained a lot.We made about 20 casts and went back home.
On Thursday, I went to Lake Biwa with a professional angler Mr. Mougi. He is also a skilled fishing guide on Lake Biwa(mainly Northern part).

The water is usually clear, but it was a bit muddy after the rain that fell the night before.
He considered the water clarity, and chose a swimming jig “BOREAS / MOZAIC JIG”.
I chose “MATSURABA + SWING FAT 4.8”.

Soon after we started fishing, he found suspending largemouth bass.He said, “It’s difficult to catch lartgemouth bass like this.”
But I couldn’t see the suspended bass.He said “Over there!!”
Then I noticed it.I thought I should observe the water more carefully.
Then we moved up North and he had a bite !!!
But the fish jumped and shook its head trying to free itself from the hook and swam away.
Unfortunately he couldn’t catch it, but it was really big.
After a while he had a bite again.
He caught nice fish on BOREAS / MOZAIC JIG1/4oz + Jackall / Ammonite Shad 5.5″.
I was so excited!!
His fishing technique was great.
He cast a rubber jig without weed guard and when he reeled it back , he aimed to make the lure pass slowly among the reeds.
When it got windy, we moved to the river where he often fish.
It was muddy and the wind conditions were good.
But after many cold days, the water temperature was low and fish were not responding.
After a while, he had a bite!
Did he catch big largemouth bass????
No…
Japanese barbel was caught on Nishine Lure Works / Slide Dart(Cranking).

The rod he used was North Fork Composites / ACR73MH Composites Model .
We went up North for catching big largemouth bass.

We cast MOZAIC CHATTER, MATSURABA, BEATOUR, and Slide Dart but couldn’t catch fish.
I couldn’t catch any fish on the day, but I didn’t give up.
I went fishing the next day again.
I had a bite(BEATOURM7 / High speed cranking) but the fish managed to free itself from my hook. 9 hours fishing, but I didn’t catch any fish.

I will try frog lures next time.
