Measure : HOOTERS EZ Measure
I went to Gosan river in the evening.
Increased water flow and clear water in the river from rain.
I thought largemouth bass in the main body of water would get more active.
Top water fishing, I used bug pattern
but only small largemouth bass were responding to the bait.
Targeted Flathead mullet, I switched to blue DOLIVE SHAD4.5
and let it swim near the surface.
Fish took the bait!
It was a little bit skinny but it was largemouth bass.

I saw many anglers who were using crank baits or spinner baits.
I felt autumn was just around the corner.

Field report : Fishing with Frogs ! / BackLash Staff Asano

I went to Lake Biwa with my fishing buddy.
He really wanted to use Frog lures to catch Largemouth bass,
so we started fishing with frog baits.

We had a lot of bites!!
I was not good at using frog lures but caught small ones.
I wanted to practice hook setting, so it was good that we had a lot of bites.

After a while, fish weren’t responding to frog lures at all.
We moved to a shallow water area.
My fishing buddy gave up using frog lures to catch fish and started to use Texas rig.
Then fish took the bite, and he set the hook!
It was really small and light.
I used LILRABBIT Texas and caught reallly small fish, too.

After we caught some more small fish, we took a nap on the boat.

Sleeping on-board was nice.

 

We started casting Frogs again.
Then…fish took the bait!!!
I was looking aside but luckily I could set the hook.

After that I kept casting my frog lure to the same bush.
At my 5th cast, I had a bite.
I concentrated on setting the hook and could set the hook firmly.
I was really happy with that.

We caught some more fish and enjoyed the fishing day.

I don’t know why, but this time we caught fish in the areas where we usually can’t catch any.

Talking about frog lures, when I cast BOOTA FROG,
I had a bite but missed it.
And STEEZ POPPER FROG Jr. brought a lot of bites.
If you want to enjoy fishing with frog, try it.
It is one of the best frog lures.

I went fishing with my friend the other day.
He had a bite but it was poor footing.
So I thought landing the fish would not be easy.
However he used a landing net and got the fish in 15 seconds.

After that, he caught his second fish for the day. It was 56 cm in length.
By using the landing net, he got it so quickly!!!

I think it is important to choose a landing net for the species you intend to catch.
“Choose the correct hoop size”

HOOTERS / LANDING NET is deep enough to land the bigger fish such as fish over 60 cm.

My friend caught a lot of nice fish on the day.

I cast ANO STRAIGHT(# NAGARA SHRIMP)5.5inch & 7inch / Nail rig, but didn’t catch big ones.

Many anglers say that BULLFLAT is very effective.
Ryota also recommends it.

HOOTERS / LANDING NET that he uses is a HD model.
It was remodeled in August.
The mesh size of the net is bigger than the old model to reduce water resistance and it allows smooth landing.
The folding parts of the net frame are made of steel.(The old model has aluminum holding parts.)
